Palestine: According to a report from different news agencies, Israeli security forces have announced that they killed two Palestinians in Nablus attack who were thought to be involved in an attack against the police. The incident took place in Nablus, a town in the occupied West Bank. The Israeli military conducted a raid in which both individuals were killed during a firefight.

The official Palestinian news agency WAFA, however, has alleged that the Palestinians were “executed” after being trapped in a house. The armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) has claimed responsibility for the attack.

In a separate development, there was a recent Israeli operation in the Jenin refugee camp, resulting in the deaths of twelve Palestinians, most of whom have been confirmed as militants. Approximately 100 people were injured during the operation. The intense nature of the operation caused significant damage and displacement.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has responded by setting up a temporary healthcare facility to provide assistance. They have also appealed for foreign aid to help rebuild the damaged buildings in the camp.

The Israeli military stated that the operation in Jenin targeted infrastructure and weapons depots belonging to Palestinian militant factions. The operation involved late-night drone strikes followed by a sweep conducted by over 1,000 troops.

During the operation, homes were damaged, streets were left in ruins, and cars were burned out. As a result, thousands of people from the refugee camp were evacuated. Israel maintains that all Palestinians killed during the operation were combatants, while one Israeli soldier lost their life.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has described the operation in Jenin as the most intense in two decades. They have called for international assistance to help rebuild the damaged structures, including an UNRWA school and medical center that were situated near a militant command center targeted by the Israeli army.
